Fangs, Fur and Fairy Tale Creatures Await!
Sexy vampires, werewolves, fairies, shifters and southern charm! If any of this sounds interesting, welcome to the world of Bon Temps, the home place of True Blood HBO’s vampire series. Several seasons are down and a new one is right around the corner!

True Blood is based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels written by Arkansas native Charlain Harris. Each series is a loose adaptation of successive novels, and if you have read the novels, you know the references in some cases are very loose!

Come on down to Louisiana for some Cajun guilty pleasure, fairy tale creatures and all kinds of twists and turns. Werewolves, were panthers, vampires who are out of the closet and much much more await you in this area of the swamp.

Main Character

Sookie Stackhouse is a southern girl with all the charm that implies and the unique gift of telepathy. Life can get pretty interesting when you can hear what everyone is thinking, particularly about you. This has understandably made relationships with the opposite sex more than a challenge, until she meets the tall, dark and pale vampire by the name of Bill Compton. Strangely, all is quiet in her mind when they are together, so naturally a romance blossoms.

The antics are crazy fun, gruesomely bloody and sometimes nearly X-rated with boobs, lots of boobs! This is definitely not your family oriented evening series; True Blood is something you will definitely want to reserve for after the children are asleep!

Sookie Stackhouse Novels

Charlain Harris in an Arkansas native and author of several fictional books including the Sookie Stackhouse novels. If you are a fan of the show and have not yet read the series, be prepared for some distinct differences between the two. For example Tara is barely on the radar in the books while in the show she is the troubled best friend.

There are currently 10 books in the series with the latest installation to be released on May 3, 2011. Dead Reckoning is the next anxiously awaited novel in the series and Sookie Stackhouse fans everywhere will be waiting in line for a copy!
